50 years at Dripstone RFS for Michael

The captain of Dripstone Rural Fire Brigade, Michael Cox, was presented with his gold clasp to his RFS Long Service Medal on Wednesday. The clasp represented 50 years of service to the Dripstone brigade. Mr Cox joined the Dripstone brigade in 1964 and has been an active member since then. He was promoted to captain of the brigade in 1997. The presentation was made by Superintendent Lyndon Wieland, manager of the Orana RFS district on September 30 at a morning tea attended by friends on his property at Dripstone.
