The Yeoval Eagles are still in the running for the Graincorp Cup after a victory over the Redbacks 22/7, but it is no time to celebrate, according to secretary James Blatch. They have this week off and are now second on the ladder but they will be training hard.

"I don't think either team was happy," he said of the game against the Redbacks.There was a lot of squandered ball in the second half with only one try scored which tells you that both teams didn't do a lot," he said.
By halftime the score was 17/7 in favour of the Yeoval Eagles.
"Neither team controlled their position much at all and it was fairly scrappy," Blatch said.
Still, Blatch believed Yeoval might have a shot at the Graincorp Cup, which the team won in 2011.
"We finished number two so anything is possible," he said.
The Coonabarabran Kookas will play the Dubbo Rhinos at Dubbo this week and the following week Yeoval travel to Trangie to play for the home grand final as first place take on second on the ladder. "We will be working on maintaining possession of the ball, using our speed out wide with our outside backs," he said.
"We have some really good wingers and fullbacks."
