Wellington Golf Club saw 48 golfers at the golf course last Saturday on a gorgeous day for golf and there were two visitors on hand as well with Robert Payne from Duntry and Brad Murray from Dubbo.

This Saturday will see a small rise in green fees by $2 making it $22 to play each Saturday, plus Wellington Golf Club memberships are due now as well as all shed fees.
Norm Royal put together two great shots to come away with an eagle on the 17th hole last Saturday and there have been plenty of drinks since the last one was hit.
Sunday saw the regional final of the Mazda Mixed Fourball Championship played at Wellington Golf Club with Cheryl and Norm Royal representing the club and they were unlucky not to finish higher than a third position at day's end.

This Saturday's events are the July Monthly Medals in A and B Grades, round eight of the Wellington Soldiers' Memorial Club Pointscore as well as round eight of the John Gersbach
Putting Competition. The Wellington Soldiers' Memorial Club are the kind sponsors of the day.
Last Saturday's events were an Individual Stableford plus the quarter-finals of the Kiss Trophy with David East being the kind sponsor for the day.
Sunday sees the playing of the Mazda Mixed Fourball regional final at Wellington Golf Club.
Winner of last Saturday's individual stableford with a great round of golf was Garth Watts who is striking the ball well at the moment, his final score was 40pts.
Runner-up with 39pts was Peter Cornish who would have rather had this score last week.

McCarthy-Staggs Tiling nearest the pin in two shots on the 10th hole last week went to Garth Watts and he got it as close as 2.28m.
McDonald's Biggest Whack winner in A Grade last week was John Donnelly and B Grade winner was Luke Milgate. Brent's NFI winner from last Saturday's golf was Kevin Whale who did finish his round of golf but did only record 21pts, but it wasn't all bad he did collect a golf ball for his effort, so that's nothing to complain about.
Final of the Cornish Trophy will see Kevin Reid and Garth Watts taking on Fletcher Ivey and Mac Harvey with this match to be played by July 11.
Results from round four of the Kiss Trophy saw Malcolm Payne defeat Craig Brien 3/2, Mitchell Cusack defeat Ab Towney, Josh Bullock defeat Lewis McCarthy, Brian Kiss defeat Liam Brien 1up, Garth Watts defeat Bill Bright 3/2, Norm Royal defeat David Naveau 1up, John Donnelly defeat David Ryan 3/1 and Darren Whiteley defeat Doug Ney 3/2. Quarter-finals are to be played by July 18.
Top five in the Wellington Soldiers' Memorial Club Pointscore after seven rounds are Garth Watts with 169pts, Luke Milgate 132pts, James Cusack 127pts, Malcolm Payne 122pts and Gary Cusack 118pts.
Top five in the Maurie Lay Memorial Pointscore sponsored by Twin Rivers Printing and the President's Pointscore is David Naveau 769pts, Geoff Walker 723pts, Steven McCarroll 705pts, John Gersbach 677pts and Gary Cusack 667pts.
Top five in the John Gersbach Putting Competition after seven rounds is James Cusack with 195 putts, Garth Watts 204 putts, David Naveau and Malcolm Payne 210 putts and Geoff Walker 216 putts.
