There are eight Inland Waters Holiday Parks throughout regional NSW which are being ground truthed in June/July and improved over the next few years.
Mr Edmonds, who will visit Lake Burrendong and Mookerawa Waters Holiday Parks next week, said it was critical to ground truth each of the parks in preparation for the master plans which would provide a map for future park development over the next 10 years.
"Ground truthing involves testing site opportunities against any site constraints," Mr Edmonds said.
"We need to ascertain the priorities for each of our parks and are looking forward to starting the master plan process which involves a rigorous ground-truthing procedure.
"This will be followed by council and stakeholder workshops to review initial park concepts.
"Our holiday parks and recreation reserves are for everyone to enjoy and it is important that we give stakeholders the opportunity to bring their local expertise to the table during the early stages of planning."
Ground truthing for the Inland Waters Holiday Parks at Burrinjuck Waters, Wyangala Waters and Grabine Lakeside is set to commence from the end of this month.
