Chairperson of the Eisteddfod Committee, Mr Kevin Mason, is very pleased with the committee's hard work and dedication required to produce a quality event each year.
"All the Eisteddfod Committee members are volunteers and give up their own time throughout the year to ensure these upcoming weeks of competition are the best they can be," Mr Mason said.
Unfortunately, the Eisteddfod Committee currently has no treasurer and is seeking someone who can fill the position during this busy time.
"This is a very important role within the committee, especially at this time when payments are coming in and ledgers need to be balanced," Mr Mason said.
"If anyone in the community is interested in taking up the treasurer position, we would love to hear from you. I find it very rewarding to give back to the community by being a volunteer and the Eisteddfod is a very worthy cause.
"Please contact me on (02) 6845 4434 or our Secretary on 04238 16355 if you are interested in assisting, or alternatively, come to our next meeting at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Monday, June 15 at 6pm."
This year's eisteddfod will be held at the Wellington Civic Centre from July 28 with an exciting Grand Concert taking place on August 15 to conclude the annual event.
