“ I am here to empower, share and uplift’’ she told a crowd who came to a survival connection to the indigenous community at Wellington High School.
Her mother Joan proudly watched as she sang ‘’ Feels Like Home’’.
‘’It’s wonderful to be back in Wellington my home again,’’
‘’It is extremely important to idenify yourself and know where are, to find that place. We are coming together striving for a better connection,’’
‘’There are such ugly things out there domestic violence, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and social media can sometime make those stories depressing. I am here to show I am home and proud of it’’ she said.
Her mother said her voice was her power. She couldn’t turn a chair in her audition for The Voice how can that be she is ‘our voice’.
