It's getting a bit frosty out in the villages and very hard to get out of a very warm bed in the mornings.

When you are all snuggled up, spare a thought for the John Holland boys and girls who have been busily working at the Stuart Town rail line for some time now.
They are up bright and early every day upgrading the tracks.
The workers have been good for the village, spending money in the local businesses.

I spoke to council's Technical Services director of last week.
He is going to contact our local state member, Deputy Premier Troy Grant, and find out what he (Troy) is planning to do to about fixing Mumbil's town water.
The director is going to also clarify what the Deputy Premier has in mind for Stuart Town's water ...
This issue was of course an election promise Troy made during the recent state election.
A report will be coming to council with Troy's responses and I look forward to hearing what is said.

Plans are now in full swing for the Mumbil-Stuart Town CWA's International Day which is coming up in a few months time.
The country of study is Italy and the ladies are planning to bring a bit of Italian to Mumbil.
I'll have more information closer to the event, but it's turning out to be something rather special.
Until next week,
Councillor Marcus Hanney
