The event is the third in a series of seminars to be held across Queensland and New South Wales this month, following the sell-out Beef Australia 2015 seminar at Rockhampton. The event will challenge the status quo surrounding livestock production and will also feature brand new knowledge about soil carbon opportunities for farmers.
“Herd quitting”, a phrase coined by Mr. Pharo, is all about quitting the out-dated, unsustainable aspects of agriculture to increase profitability.
RCS Director, Dr. Terry McCosker said, “we will be taking a holistic approach to the management of people, land, livestock and business”.
“The value of education can be improved by utilising ongoing support, and RCS as an organisation creates a culture surrounding just that.”
“The seminars will introduce an out-of-the-box approach to thinking about livestock enterprises,” Dr. McCosker said. “It will also present a great opportunity for participants to network personally and professionally.”
Grahame Rees of KLR Marketing will also be discussing how farmers can balance the three inventories of grass, money and livestock and will be available for one-on-one discussions.
Participants will also be able to engage in an interactive panel discussion surrounding agricultural topics.
This event has been supported by KLR Marketing, Low Stress Stockhandling and the Entello Group.
A final “Herd Quitter” seminar will be held in Albury on Friday 15th May.
