One of the organising teachers,Tammy Batho said the children had been excited to learn more about the Anzacs and had developed a deep appreciation and recognition of what they had done for the country.-

As they prepared their performances, they also did a lot of background research on the meaning behind the war songs, poems and other texts.-

Acting principal Michelle Eather said the Anzac spirit was still as relevant today as it was many years ago, representing values of freedom, tolerance and a fair go for all.-

"The need for us to look after each other is probably greater than it has been at any other time," she said.-
