"I would like to think we are raising the profile of disability in the central west and speaking for those who can't speak for themselves," he said.
"The support of my sister Lorraine, Neville, my mum everybody has really motivated me and it is very, very humbling.
"People who are supporting the appeal don't even know me and I can't thank them enough for their goodness.''
Lorraine Gould, who has turned the High Tea into a large event in her backyard at 68 Whiteley Street, says this is the final fundraiser.
"After two years we have put a lot into making this a big grand finale.
"We have so many things to raffle, for the auction and fun competitions.
"We know people will really enjoy and embrace this day," she said.
"My thanks to everyone who has supported us so far."
The Wheels to Wheels Garden High tea begins at 2pm.
