The match of the round this week Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Phantoms v Wellington Hotel TBGs. The Phantoms were looking for a win to stay in touch with the top 2 without their big name player Allan Brown. The TBGs were also down gun Greg Whiteman.
The doubles games shared Richard Kent/ Jason Brown to David Wilson and Nyoka Bone 1-2, Alf Wilson / Parish Petrovic beat Dave Stace/ Andrew Philipps 2-0.

Jason Brown bt Andrew Philipps 2-1, Richard Kent bt Nyoka Boney 2-1, Parrish Petrovic lost to Dave Stace 0-2.
The TBGs won the team’s game, but Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Phantoms winners by 4 -3.
The Central Hotel Wood Cutters were looking for a win to stay on top v Wellington Bowling Club Cracker Jacks who were looking for a win just to stay in touch with the top 4.
The doubles games were shared. It was in the singles matches that the Wood Cutters got on top by winning the majority.
- In the doubles Rod Hampstead/Ken Sutton lost to Cindy Croker /Ken Fairley 1-2. Eugene Spicer/ Lea Sutton df Jason Cornish/Robert Driscoll 2-0.
- Singles Lea Sutton df Jason Cornish 2-0, Rod Hampstead v Cindy Croker, 2-0, Eugene Spicer to Ken Fairley 1-2, Ken Sutton v Robert Driscoll, 2-1.
- The Cracker Jacks won the team’s game but Central Hotel Wood Cutters 4-3 victors to stay on top. The Federal teams saw the Old Time Feddy having to play one player short which gave the Thumpers a big advantage.
They didn’t waste it by winning both of the doubles games, although they only shared the singles but it was still enough for the win on the night.
- Doubles results were Shane Mitchell and Colin Maguire defeating Nikkie and Tre Ball 2-0 and Graeme Kent and Steve Ebzury beat Scott Dutfield 2-0.
- In the singles Graeme Kent lost to Scott Dutfield 0-2, Colin Maguire beat Tre Ball 2-0, Shane Mitchell lost to Nikkie Ball 0-2 and Steve Ebzury won on a forfeit.
The Federal Hotel Thumpers also won the team’s game winning overall 5-2 .
Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club SS Soldiers v Wellington Hotel Bulls. Loser guaranteed last spot.
The SS Soldiers won both of the doubles games. Singles games were shared which was enough for the SS Soldiers to take the match The Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club also won the team’s game which gave them a 5 games to 2 victory.
