Mr Morley was air lifted to hospital in the 24-hour rescue helicopter on Friday morning.
The 46-year-old man who now lives at Tamworth, has head and leg injuries but is in a stable condition.
According to police information the accident occurred when a 68-year-old Grenfell male was travelling southbound on The Henry Lawson Way when he hit a wallaby about 10 kilometres from Grenfell.
The man's vehicle collided with Mr Morley's utility that was travelling northbound.
Mr Morley was then airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital and is currently at Westmead.
The 68-year-old man was uninjured and conveyed to Grenfell Hospital for mandatory blood testing. Mr Morley also had his pet dog on board which was taken to a veterinary hospital by RSPCA officers with some injuries.
Mr Moley was trapped in his vehicle for about two hours while emergency services worked to free him.
Acting inspector Paul Colefax from Young Police is not expecting charges to being laid though police are still investigating the accident
