Wellington Golf Club had a good field of 44 golfers on the course last Saturday including 5 visitors from Dubbo Golf Club, Nathan Peckham, Adam Peckham, Errol Toomey, Gary Atkins and Josh Hewen.

Many thanks to the many volunteers that helped out at the Vintage Fair, your help made the task so much easier.
The John Deere Ride-on Lawn Mower which has been donated to the Wellington Golf Club and is now being raffled with tickets selling really fast and you can purchase a ticket for $5 at the club or there are plenty of golf club members around town selling tickets and this great prize will be drawn on the June Long Weekend.
A couple of requests from the committee, can all members please repair all Pitch and Divot Marks on the course and please keep all golf carts a good distance away from the Greens, many thanks if for your help in these matters.
The Committee of the Wellington Golf Club would like to thank everybody that represented the Wellington Golf Club in the Pennants for their time and in the way that they presented themselves to play golf.
Coming events for March are 14th round 1 of the Cornish Trophy with a 4Ball Aggregate being played, 21st 4Ball Multiplier, 28th round 1 of the Kiss Trophy with an Individual Par being played.
The Federal Stags were taking on the Puppies in the Final of the Keirle`s Pharmacy Summer Competition with the winner taking home the major prize with this match built as close affair but it saw the Federal Stags that put the cleaners through the Puppies with the Federal Stags 3 up after 9 holes and they went on with it to finish the match on the 14th hole which equates to a 5/4 victory.
The play-off for 3rd place saw Dirt Diggers taking on Goodsorts with the Dirt Diggers also winning convincingly and on the same hole as the final, the 14th hole which gave them a 5/4 victory, all the players that played in the Summer Competition would like to thank Keirle`s Pharmacy for their support this year and for the 13 years they have been involved and hope they will be on board again later this year and to all the teams for sponsoring a round throughout the competition.
Last Saturday`s events were an Individual Stableford plus the Grand Final and Third place play-offs of the Keirle`s Pharmacy Summer Competition with all of the Summer Competition teams sponsoring the day.
This Saturday`s events are the March Monthly Medal in A and B Grades plus round 4 of the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Pointscore plus round 4 of the John Gersbach Putting Competition with the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club kindly sponsoring the day.
Winner from last Saturday`s Individual Stableford event and it was on a count back that saw Norm Royal finally put together a good round of golf, he finished with 38pts.
Runner up and was one of the visitors which should see him back was Errol Toomey and he finished with 38pts.

McCarthy-Staggs Tiling nearest the pin in 2 shots on the 4th hole went to Rod Pedron which must have been his only good shot of the day.
McDonalds Biggest Whack winner in A Grade went to Nathan Peckham and in B Grade it went to Vic Payne and yes he did hit the ball not place it there.
Brent’s N.F.I award winner this week was Rod Pedron who could only manage 17pts for the whole 18 holes.
