Schute Bell report that last week's offering did not fill expectations however the difference was not as great as last week. The designated superfine sale in Sydney highlighted the fact that the more stylish types with high tensile strength remain in keen demand and are attracting significant premiums above the lower style types. The week had very minor market movements. Cardings and crossbreds continued along their merry way, with Merino fleece causing the dip in the market.46, 722 bales were sold with a passed in rate of 8.5%. Expected volumes on offer during the next few weeks have been revised downwards, the Freemantle market which continued selling after the East Coast markets had closed has given hope that next week's market will improve due to some selected lines closing 20 cents dearer. The Northern Region Indicator closed at 1111 cents per kg clean a fall of 3 cents.
