Every team now has points on the board after one team failing to fill in their sheet correctly.
Darts championships are getting closer with the first one to be played the Mixed Doubles in April with the date to be set. More information will be available shortly.
A bus has been organised for a darts trip to Goolma to play in their Darts Competition on Saturday March 14. There are no seats left on the bus, so if you would like to play you will have to find your own way there. The bus will leave from McDonald's at 9.15am with names to be in by 10.15am.
Championships coming up in a few month's time are Western Country Championships at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club on July 11 and 12, and Zone 12 Championships at the Victoria Hotel in Orange on August 22 and 23.
The mystery player for Round 5 was Kirsty Wilson who was a no show, so next week it will be 18 middies up for grabs.
Scott Dutfield defeated Jason Cornish retaining the belt again this week by two straight legs.
Eugene Spicer Wood Carting Pointscore top six after four rounds is Ken Sutton, Garth Watts and David Wilson 9pts, Greg Whiteman, Nyoka Boney and Eugene Spicer 8pts.
Eugene Spicer Most High Scores are Scott Dutfield 11, David Wilson 9, Garth Watts 7, Eugene Spicer 5, Lea Sutton and Alf Wilson 5.
Eugene Spicer Wood Carting players of the year. Two players, Scott Dutfield and Greg Whiteman are unbeaten in singles. Doubles now is seven players with only one loss.
In the big match of the round, last year's grand finalists, the Central Hotel Wood Cutters played shield holders the Wellington Hotel TBGs. The winner took top place on the table and the other licked their wounds.
- Doubles and Singles games were shared with Dave Stace and David Wilson defeating Rod Hampstead and Garth Watts, 2-1, and Nyoka Boney and Greg Whiteman loosing to Lea Sutton and Eugene Spicer, 1-2. Singles results were Dave Stace loosing to Rod Hampstead, 0-2, Greg Whiteman defeating Eugene Spicer, 2-1, Nyoka Boney defeating Ken Sutton, 2-0 and David Wilson loosing to Garth Watts 0-2.
The team's game would decide who would stay unbeaten and it was to be the Central Hotel Wood Cutters that came away with the win by four games to three.
In the next match the winner would go into the top four.
So who would win it, would it be the Federal Hotel Old Time Feddy or the Wellington Bowling Club Cracker Jacks?
Doubles games were shared and it was in the singles that the Old Time Feddys got on top by winning the majority of matches.
- Doubles results were Nikkie Ball and Zack Lang loosing to Jason Cornish and Ken Fairley, 0-2, and Scott Dutfield and Tre Ball defeating Robert Driscoll and Cindy Croker, 2-0.
- Singles results were Zack Lang loosing to Ken Fairley, 0-2, Scott Dutfield defeating Jason Cornish, 2-0, Nikkie Ball defeating Cindy Croker, 2-0 and Tre Ball defeating Robert Driscoll 2-1.
They did lose the team's game to finish the night with a four games to three victory and stay in the top four.
Both of the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club teams, the Phantoms and the SS Soldiers fought it out for supremes and it was the Phantoms who just came out on top with Parish Petrovic and Alf Wilson defeating Margie Mills and Mal Nunn, 2-1, and Richard Kent and Allan Brown loosing to Philippe Bell and Teena Hill, 0-2.
Singles saw Alf Wilson defeat Vicki Button 2-0, Jason Brown defeat Tania Button 2-0, Richard Kent loose to Mal Nunn 1-2 and Parish Petrovic defeated Philippe Bell 2-1. They also won the team's game to record a five games to two victory.
The final match was awarded to the Wellington Hotel Bulls 7 to 0, due to the Federal Hotel Thumpers not filling in their score sheet correctly.
A reminder to the Bulls' team. Would somebody please bring some rope this week so Tracey Reid knows exactly where her beer is as other teams are starting to worry for her.
