Di turned the big 50 last Friday and for a special surprise the students and staff threw her a party.
Di is very well liked by all and I hope she had a great time celebrating her special day.
Another big happy 101st birthday goes to Stuart Town's favourite son Richard Eades' mother, Nida Eade.
What a fascinating conversation one could have with her, talking about what she has seen over the years. Happy birthday!
A big sigh of relief was had by all when news broke last week that Mumbil School teacher Kristy Rich walked away relatively unscathed from a car accident.
Kristy had a few days off work and now is back on deck. I raised in the council meeting last week about the various village projects to take place, like the shade cloth in Mumbil and the garage wall in Stuart Town and I was told that all these projects are being worked on.
The shade cloth over the playground in Mumbil has turned out to be very expensive, but a solution is being sought.
We have asked for a report at the next meeting to tell us exactly where all the projects are at.
After chatting with Troy Grant at the Gulgong Show last week about a number of village issues, I have asked the Technical Services director to start discussions with Troy if he is re-elected about fixing Mumbil's water quality issues.
Until next week,
Councillor Marcus Hanney
