Involved with more Wellington Eisteddfods that she probably cares to mention through her many pupils, chairing sections, accompanying primary school choirs, especially Wellington Public School and of course the school band segments – last year still proceeded after an accident requiring crutches, walking stick and even a moon boot..
Nothing stops this woman.
Other involvement includes teaching musical instruments at schools as well as piano, guitar and singing lessons in private throughout the Wellington region.
she’s with the Country Womens Association, - Mumbil – Stuart Town; involved with Red Cross; organist at the Uniting and Catholic Church services twice a month; visits weekly Bellhaven Nursing Home and Maranatha House, plus associated with many schools’ musical productions.
This lady’s love of teaching values of music and cultural performance to youngsters sees her drive long distances to cover her commitment.
She was presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the second at Governmenr house; attended Covent Garden Opera in London where one of her former students, Hugh Francis sang; is a recipient of a volunteers service award presented by the Federal Member for Parkes, Marl Coulton.
and the list goes on.
