The event will be aired live on Binjang 91.5 and will be hosted by Jayson O'Brien who has just returned from concerts at the Australian Country Music Festival in Tamworth.
Mr O'Brien, who has been entertaining all over Australia for almost five decades, is a regular at the Wellington Bowling club each Friday night and has been a mentor to many local performers.
He has also been a presenter with Binjang since the station opened.
"I love working on the radio but you really can't call it work. Monday and Wednesday the Country Music show has become well listened we even get fan mail for it," he said.
"I get requests from the guys at the Wellington Correctional centre to hear songs and of course people in the community because country is so diverse and tells the real stories of our life.
"Today we are going to showcase a lot of our local talent Jono Nicholson and Tracie Budd are going to drop by. They are the future of our Wellington music industry and along with Ellie Flanagan, Mick Austin, Nigel Stanley they make up a fantastic resource for the community.
"Come down and join us for some great fun."
