While no band 6s were achieved a lot of students were just a mark off with many high band 5s and principal Don Harvey said their results were solid across the board.
There was also a rise in the number of students who received early university entry and Mr Harvey said this came back to the fact that students were keen to go to university after being involved in partnership programs between various universities and the school as well as the fact that rural students were highly sought after.
"It's because they are motivated they are not just going there for the heck of it they want to achieve what they set their hearts on."
"In ten years time they will be doing things they never even thought they would be doing as they move into the world of work."
He also thanked the community for their support of the students in achieving this milestone.
"Getting kids through the HSC is a major achievement and it doesn't happen without their support."
Among some of the early entries were Tara Swainston who will do a bachelor of health and rehabilitation science at CSU in Albury while Patrick Haesler will be studying graphic design and communications media at Wollongong and Caroline Morley will be studying communications, media and international studies at Wollongong.
The students said they were relieved to have the milestone behind them adding that their year advisor, Miss Pixton, had been a big support in helping them prepare for the future.
