The course and weather were perfect for the event.
There was plenty of golf on Saturday with the Wellington Golf Club's Men's Championships, sponsored by Rhino Promotions Dubbo were played, the 72-hole handicap sponsored by Peter Payne and Steven McCarroll, the qualifying rounds of the Harold Baker Bookmaking Graded Matchplay Championships, the Wade Cup last 36-hole Scratch, the McCleod Cup last 36-hole Handicap,

Veterans 72-hole Scratch and the Junior 72-hole Scratch.
A.G.M and Presentation will be held on the 6th of December starting at 6.30pm.

This Saturday's events are the November Monthly Medal in A and B Grades plus the final round of the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Pointscore plus the last round of the John Gersbach Putting Competition, the Bogeyman Cup and round 1 of the Keirle's Pharmacy Summer Competition. The kind sponsor for the day is the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club.
Starters for the day are the Bogeymen and every team that has the bye will be the starters and sponsors that week.
After 3 rounds of the Wellington Golf Clubs A Grade Championship Joe Ryan holds a 5 shot lead over James and Mitchell Cusack with Gary Cusack and Ben McCarthy 9 shots behind and playing for second only.
The final round in the A Grade became a two horse race with the competitors being Joe Ryan and James Cusack who left the rest of the field behind them and there was only a couple of shots splitting them in the end with Joe Ryan coming out on top with final scratch score of 297 with James Cusack left wondering what could have been with a better start on 299 scratch.
A Grade Handicap winner was Mitchell Cusack with 292 with Joe Ryan just behind with 294.
After 3 rounds in the Wellington Golf Clubs B Grade Championship it looked like being just 2 golfers having a chance of victory with David Naveau holding a 1 shot lead over Wayne Lang and next best was Ian Manning 11 shots back and the rest of the field even further back.
The final round in B Grade was as expected David Naveau and Wayne Lang fighting it out with the rest of the golfers trying hard but the lead was to big and in the end it was Wayne Lang who put together a near perfect back nine holes to take the title with a score of 330 scratch, 3 shots in front of David Naveau 333 scratch.
B Grade Handicap winner was Rodney Cunynghame with 289 with David Naveau next on 290.
After 3 rounds of the Wellington Golf Clubs C Grade Championship saw Lewis McCarthy (265) put a little bit of breathing space between him and Bill Bright(268) and Rod Irwin(271) and newcomer to golf Doug Ney learning more and more on 292.
The final round saw Lewis McCarthy(360) have his chances to win the title only to see Bill Bright(360) throw down the challenge which left the rest of the field way back and these two having to play 3 extra holes to finally find a winner and that was where Lewis McCarthy came good to claim the title with a 3 shot victory over Bill Bright.
C Grade Handicap winner was Bill Bright 286 with Lewis McCarthy next 288.
Wade Cup winner which is last 36 hole scratch was Ben McCarthy with Joe Ryan runner up.
McLeod Cup winner which is last 36 hole Handicap was Rodney Cunynghame with 138nett and runner up was James Cusack with 143nett.
Veterans scratch winner was Gary Cusack with 308 with John Gersbach next with 326.
Junior scratch winner was Lewis McCarthy with 360.
Round 1 of the Wellington Golf Clubs Graded Matchplay Championships will begin on the 8th of November and round 2 has to be played by the 22nd of November, with the draw to be put in the paper next week; this event is kindly sponsored by Harold Baker Book Making.
The 16th of November see's the playing of the Stableford Shoot Out with more information to come in the following weeks and this event is sponsored by John Gersbach.
The winner of last Saturday's Individual Stoke event with a breath taking round of golf was Lewis McCarthy who had a 67nett.
Runner up on a count back was Lewis Stanley with a 69nett.
The winner of Sunday's Individual Stroke event was Peter Bryant who was heard to say I had to come good sooner or later his nett score was 67.
Runner up was Rodney Cunynghame who was just happy to put a good round together, his final score was 69nett.

McCarthy-Staggs Tiling nearest the pin in 2 shots on Saturday which was on the 12th hole went to Gary Cusack who put his second shot just 26cm from the hole and on Sunday it went to Joe Ryan who put it 50cm away from a hole were are just not sure which one.
McDonalds Biggest Whack in A Grade went to Matt Redfern on Saturday and on Sunday it went to Joe Ryan.
Brent's N.F.I award winner's last week went to the same bloke as the week before which means he will not be playing for awhile now will he, final score 84nett.
