Wellington Golf Club had a great weekend with over a 100 hundred golfers coming out to play in the Club Championships with nothing but praise for the course and beautiful sunshine to keep everybody happy.

All golfers are reminded that the Keirle`s Pharmacy Summer Competition draw will be done this weekend so get those team`s in or you will miss out on your chance to win the large prize money on offer and it all begins on Saturday the 1st of November, a nomination sheet has been placed on the notice board for all team`s to place there team names and players on.
For a second week in a row an Eagle has been hit on the golf course with Mitchell Cusack hitting this one on the 17th hole this week.
Last Saturday saw the start of the Wellington Golf Clubs Men`s Championships which are played over 2 weekends with 72 holes being played and proudly sponsored by Rhino Promotions Dubbo, plus the 72 hole handicap which is kindly sponsored by Peter Payne and Steven McCarroll as well as the Qualifying rounds of the Harold Baker Bookmaking Graded Matchplay Championships.
A.G.M and Presentation will be held on the 6th of December starting at 6.30pm.
Harold Baker Bookmaking Graded Matchplay Championships will begin on the 8th of November with a 2 week spread between all rounds.
All golfers wishing to play Pennants in the near future could they please inform the following people so team`s can be organized, Division 1 James Cusack, Division 2 David Naveau, Division 3 Norm Royal, Division 4 Vic Payne.

- 12.36pm, Rod Irwin 179, Bill Bright 180, Lewis McCarthy 180, and Lance Noakes 193.
- 12.42pm Neil Hollow 176, Rod Pedron 176, Kevin Reid 178 and Jarred Wykes 178.
- 12.48pm David Naveau 162, Wayne Lang 165, Ian Manning 174 and Luke Milgate 174.
- 12.54 Ben McCarthy 153, Kurt Cusack 157, John Donnelly 159 and Matt Reid 160.

All other players can tee off prior to 12.30pm or they can tee off on the 10th hole if they must tee off late.
Sunday tee times will be brought forward by an hour, so that see`s the first group teeing off at 11.30am.
After 2 rounds of the Wellington Golf Clubs A Grade Championship it see`s Joe Ryan who was leading after the first round but has now been joined by Mitchell Cusack with both players sitting on 147, which is only 3 over par, 5 shots further back are James and Gary Cusack on 152 with the rest of the field having a bit of work to do to figure in the winners circle.
After 2 rounds in the B Grade Championships Wayne Lang took a lead into round 2 but was run down by David Naveau who now holds a 3 shot lead of Wayne with Ian Manning and Luke Milgate the best of the rest 12 shots off the pace.
After 2 rounds of the C Grade Championship young Lewis McCarthy was leading after round 1 only to see Rod Irwin over take him to hold the lead by 1 shot from Lewis and Bill Bright with the rest of the field 15 plus shots off the leader.
The winner of last Saturday`s Individual Stoke event with a great round of golf was Wayne Lang who had a 68nett.
Runner up on a count back was David Naveau with a 69nett.
The winner of Sunday`s Individual Stroke event was Darren Whiteley who had an even par round of 72/67nett and was heard to say transfer all events to Sunday`s.
Runner up was Rod Irwin who recorded a 71nett.

McCarthy-Staggs Tiling nearest the pin in 2 shots on Saturday which was on the 15th hole went to Kurt Cusack and on Sunday it was on the 4th hole and went to John Donnelly.
McDonalds Biggest Whack in A Grade went to Josh Bullock on Saturday and on Sunday it went to James Cusack and in B Grade on Saturday it went to Tim Parker and on Sunday it went to Paul Hannelly.
Brent`s N.F.I award winner`s last weekend were close mates with both of them complaining to the other how bad there golf was and it was bad with the scores that were left on there cards being an embarrassment.
