Wellington Golf Club saw 41golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the golf course last Saturday with 4 visitors from Dubbo Golf Club including David O`Brien, Drew Ulgate, Justin Carneroe and David Treasure, and we hope they enjoyed golf the Wellington way.

Could all golfers that is members and social players please pay there green fee`s at the bar prior to teeing off as this would help as to knowing how many golfers are actually using the course per day.
All members are reminded to start organizing there team`s for the Keirle`s Pharmacy Summer Competition which begins on Saturday the 1st of November.
Coming events for October are the Barmen`s Trophy on the 11th, the Wellington Mowers and Chainsaws par 3 Championships on the 12th, the start of the Wellington Golf Clubs Men`s Championships stating on the 18th sponsored by Rhino Promotions plus the start of the 72 hole handicap sponsored by Peter Payne and Steven McCarroll as well as the Qualifying of the Harold Baker Bookmaking Matchplay Championships.
Last Saturday`s events were an Individual Stableford plus round 4 of the Barman Trophy with Kevin Athanasiou kindly sponsoring the day.
Von Zipper best dressed golfer last week was Peter Cornish who looked a treat and it was probably his big smile that won him the award.
This Saturday`s events are the October Monthly Medals in A and B Grades plus round 11 of the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Pointscore as well as round 11 of the John Gersbach Putting Competition. Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club are kindly sponsoring the day.
Winner of the Individual Stableford last Saturday and only just was Steven McCarroll who put together a great round of golf to finish with 40pts.
Runner up on a count back was Bob Ridley who may have found a bit of form, he finished with 39pts.
Ball competition winners were Steven McCarroll 40pts, Bob Ridley 39pts, Lewis McCarthy 39pts, Geoff Walker 38pts, Rodney Cunynghame 38pts, David O`Brien 37pts, James Cusack 36pts, Mac Harvey 36pts, David Treasure 35pts, Brian Kiss 35pts, Josh Bullock 35pts, Peter Cornish 35pts, Rod Pedron 34pts on a count back.
Ron Stubberfeild Terrific Tee Shots, on the 3rd Gary Cusack, on the 8th Robert Baker, on the 14th James Cusack, on the 16th Bob Ridley.
McCarthy-Staggs Tiling nearest the pin went to Wayne Lang who was very lucky as it was a mystery to everybody where it was.
McDonalds Biggest Whack in A Grade went to David O`Brien and in B Grade it went to David Treasure.
Brent`s N.F.I award winner this week finished with only 26pts and he left town to get away from the embarrassment of his pretty ordinary effort.
Barman Trophy after 3 rounds see`s Robert Baker, Geoff Walker. Kevin Reid, Paul Hannelly, Garth Watts and Bob Ridley all very close to the top at the moment, but there are plenty of golfers still just behind them who still have a big chance of winning this prestigious trophy this year and remember that it is your 4 best scores that count.
