Rod Hampstead Electrical Darts Challenge`s Winter Competition saw the top team`s show there muscle and increase there lead over the bottom four team`s.
There are two events coming up with the first being on Saturday the 20th of September in Gilgandra with all names to be in by 10am for a 10.30 start, and the other is at Mudgee on Sunday the 8th of November, both are drawn doubles and $5 entry fee is in place. Any further information can be found out by asking David Wilson.
A point’s machine has been purchased, so if you need new points for your darts just let Greg Whiteman know or leave your name on the back of the score sheet with your darts. The cost to have new points put in is $10 which includes the point`s and if you require any flite`s or stem`s Greg can help you out with them as well.
The mystery player this week was Parish Petrovic who was a no show, so the prize is now 16 middies this week.
Jason Brown defended the belt successful again last week by defeating Tristtan Thompson by 2 legs to 1.
The top 5 in the Eugene Spicer Wood Carting Pointscore see`s Allan Brown 57pts, Alf Wilson 56pts, David Wilson 52pts, Greg Whiteman and Richard Kent 48pts.
The top 5 in the high scores see`s David Wilson 54, Alf Wilson 41, Allan Brown 37, Scott Dutfeild 34 and Garth Watts 28.
The singles player of the year has come down to two players with Allan Brown holding a two leg lead over Alf Wilson with three rounds to play.
The doubles player of the year has only two players with areal chance of winning it with David Wilson holding a two leg lead over Richard Kent.
The team`s player of the year see`s Nikkie Ball and Scott Dutfeild leading by one from Alf Wilson at the moment.
The closest match of the night saw the Central Hotel Wood Cutters who are coming good at the right time were taking on the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Soldiers Club S.S Soldiers who just wanted a win to get off the bottom of the ladder and they had there chance but just fell short in the end. Doubles and singles were shared with Eugene Spicer-Lea Sutton beating Philippe Bell-Vicki Button 2-1 and Rod Hampstead-Garth Watts loosing to Teena Hill-Tania Button 0-2. Singles saw Eugene Spicer beat Mal Nunn 2-1, Rod Hampstead beat Margie Mills 2-1, Lea Sutton loose to Vicki Button 0-2 and Garth Watts loose to Philippe Bell 0-2. In the Team`s game both team`s had there chances but in the end the Central Hotel Wood Cutters hit the winning double to record a 4 games to 3 victory and move into the top four for the moment.
The Wellington Hotel T.B.G`s were looking for a win to stay on top of the ladder were taking on the Federal Hotel Thumper`s who were up against it as they only had three players on the night and it didn`t take long for the T.B.G`s to put the match to bed with them only dropping one game for the night. Doubles results were Warren Carrey-Greg Whiteman beat Matt Boatswain 2-0 and Nyoka Boney-David Wilson beat Tre Ball-Graeme Kent 2-1. Singles results were Nyoka Boney won on forfeit, David Wilson beat Graeme Kent 2-0, Greg Whiteman lost to Matt Boatswain 0-2 and Warren Carrey beat Tre Ball 2-1, the T.B.G`s won the team`s game as well which is there fourth win since Terry left. Final result Wellington Hotel T.B.G`s 6 Federal Hotel Thumper`s 1.
The Federal Hotel Dave`s Devils needing a win to stay in touch with the top two were taking on the Wellington Bowling Club Cracker Jack`s who needed to win otherwise there crack at the shield would be over for this year. The Federal Hotel Dave`s Devils went about destroying the Cracker Jack`s chances by winning all but one game on the night. Doubles results were Nikkie Ball-Dave Stace beat Trevor Messenger-Robert Driscoll 2-1 and Scott Dutfeild-Daryl Brown beat Cindy Croker-Ken Fairley 2-0. Singles results were Nikkie Ball lost to Trevor messenger 1-2, Dave Stace beat Cindy Croker 2-1, Scott Dutfeild beat Ken Fairley 2-0 and Daryl Brown beat Robert Driscoll 2-0, they also won the team`s game to finish with a 6 games to 1 victory.
Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Phantoms who are putting there hands up to take the Shield in this competition were taking on the Wellington Hotel Bulls who would like nothing better than to put a dint in the chances but reality hit and the Phantoms rounded up the Bulls with a clean sheet win. Doubles results were Richard Kent-Allan Brown beat Kirsty Wilson-Tristtan Thompson 2-0 and Jason Brown-Alf Wilson beat Bronwyn Thompson-Wendy Wilson 2-1. Singles results were Jason Brown beat Tristtan Thompson 2-1, Alf Wilson beat Kirsty Wilson 2-0, Richard Kent beat Bronwyn Thompson 2-0 and Allan Brown just beat Wendy Wilson 2-1, they took out the team`s game to finish with a 7 games to nil win.
