10.00 Good morning all we have a sensational day coming up at Royal Randwick. 5 Group races full of quality horses on a heavy 8 track throwing punters into a spin. Winning Ways will guide us through and we'll have plenty from the track to hopefully keep us in front. The G2 Furious Stakes jumps at 1.50pm and Winning Ways has Earthquake on top, the big question is handling the track condition, she is a beauty on better ground.

5.48 Belmont another winner from the best in the west with Rock Magic winning going great guns Winning Ways www.wwracing.com.au
5.19 Moonee Valley race 9 numbers 3-13-6. Altante wins by a lip over Trust in a Gust who got caught 4 and 5 wide for last 600m very brave in defeat. Winning Ways first and second. Atlante pays $9.70.
5.13 Belmont the best from the west from Winning Ways the punters mate race 6 n9 Rock Magic and race 8 n1 Son of Something should give fans a great sight in both races.
5.10 Moonee Valley race 9 is a Listed over 1700m, Winning Ways has Trust in a Gust on top with Atlante and Spirit's Dance in the mix. Lets hope the good form continues from www.wwracing.com.au
5.08 Randwick race 8 numbers 4-14-10-1. Supreme Warrior and Spy Decoder lead into straight and they finish 1st and 2nd. Hard day at office for all horses and jockeys.
4.50 Randwick race 8 is a Benchmark 85 over 1400m, Winning Ways has Rock Sturdy the one to beat, dangers include Spy Decoder and Countryman. Looks another sit and try and sprint (which is more like a slog) late.
4.29 Randwick race 7 it's Lucia Valentina's Tramway getting Tiger Tees in the last 50m after he tried to lead all the way. Numbers 10-1-2-7
4.15 Randwick race 7 is the G2 Tramway Stakes the market has Tiger Tees, Weary, Lucia Valentina in with hopes, but as we've seen today they'll need wet track ability to figure.
4.04 Moonee Valley race 7 numbers 4-5-1. The Cleaner leads all the way, slips them off the bit 600m out, kicks into straight and they couldn't catch him. Tasmania rejoice the local hero too tough and smart ride by Stephen "nutty" Arnold.
3.53 Moonee Valley race 7 mounting yard n9 Star Rolling, n4 The Cleaner and n1 Foreteller look well.
3.49 Randwick race 6 numbers 9-11-3-7. Wouldn't it Be Nice salutes over Nuclear Class and Rain Affair third.
3.40 Randwick race 6 mounting yard Target in Sight is getting the punters money, Atmospherical is stepping up in grade is in the market and proven mudlark Rain Affair has plenty of friends.
3.30 Moonee Valley race 7 the G2 Dato WFA jumps at 4pm with Star Rolling, The Cleaner and Foreteller on top of the Winning Ways analysis. One things for certain on the fast track you need to be handy on getting into the straight.
3.28 Moonee Valley race 6 numbers 5-12-13-10. Tawteen wins getting best of good barrier, the placegetters were too far back to do anything in the shortest metro main straight in Australia.
3.09 Randwick race 5 the Chelmsford the mudlarks rule Hawkspur upsets the field as Royal Descent goes down by a nose (or less), Sacred Falls comes down wide for fourth. Chris Waller trains the first five placegetters 3-9-5-1. Absolute dawdle until the straight made it impossible for others out the back. Entirely Platinum did not handle the heavy track.
3.00 Randwick race 5 G2 the Chelmsford mounting yard boy there is some well presented horses here. Punters are looking for mudlarks and interest is focused on Entirely Platinum, Sacred Falls and Royal Descent. Biggest mover is Sacred Falls.
2.53 Moonee Valley race 5 winning trainer Robbie Griffiths delighted with the return of Angelic Light who has been off the race scene for about a year. Her first up run had merit and she hit the 1000m line sensationally today.
2.48 Moonee Valley race 5 numbers 7-1-9. Angelic Light nabs Lankan Rupee on the line to win by a head. Lankan Rupee did all the early work led into straight after taking on Eloping, first up from spell probably told but expect him to be better second up. Winner pays $20.20 and in the Winning Ways trifecta.
2.41 Doomben race 5 the Winning Ways early mail Aimee wins at $4.80 happy days.
2.30 Moonee Valley race 5 jumps in 15mins. Lankan Rupee can become the punters mate on track with half price drinks if he salutes. The Punters Mate at Winning Ways met a part owner at the Grand Hotel Wellington NSW. He'd just completed the new spillway project work at the dam and was very confident Lankan Rupee was going to give them all something to catch. Go you good thing
2.28 Randwick race 4 numbers 3-8-6-5. Tye Angland gets Panzer Division home, nice jump and sit, gets going first at the 350m mark and nothing was going to get the lengths off him. Lady Sharapova was strong and sound but too far back and Washington Heights when asked to get going could only paddle on the soft heavy going.
2.17 Randwick race 4 in the mounting yard, Washington Heights looks sound as does Lady Sharapova. No late moves in market as yet
2.13 Moonee Valley race 4 numbers 4-11-12 Wrotham Heath salutes for a good win in great time (equivalent to a Cox Plate win time which is a G1 race). Clear Direction flashes home for close up 3rd.
2.05 Moonee Valley race 4 they are on the track to compete over the Cox Plate distance. Winning Ways ha Wrotham Heath in the mix but very wary of Clear Direction.
2.00 Randwick race 4 is the G3 Ming Dynasty over the 1400m. The yet to win Washington Heights is expected to figure with main dangers Lady Sharapova and Panzer Division. All owners on track are praying their horse can race on the heavy track.
1.53 Randwick race 3 numbers 5-4-1. Chris Waller trained Winx keeps her winning record in tact putting the odds on favourite to the sword. Earthquake did not get through the ground led most of way, but keep Winx in the blackbook for next start. Great ride by the boy from Dunedoo Hugh Bowman.
1.43 Randwick mounting yard for the Furious Stakes Earthquake presents well but looks a little short of best, not overly concerned as many are returning from spells. Tempo expected to be good without tearaway and the speed to click into gear around the final sections.
1.40 Moonee Valley numbers 2-9-1-10 Caveka salutes with a long wide ride by Luke Nolen who made sure he didn't get boxed away. Tough win, trainer Peter Moody happy with fitness lines up for Stutt Stakes in a two weeks. Winning Ways mail 1st, 2nd and 4th.
1.31 Moonee Valley race 3 the youngsters are about to get onto the track. Winning Ways has the drifting Caveka on top to be competitive in a tough affair.
1.30 Randwick is now bathed in sunshine but punters beware the track is still a heavy 9.
1.28 Doomben race 3 numbers 9-1-12. The Winning Ways early mail delivers and the punters followed Teronado salutes.
1.20 Randwick race 3 the G2 Furious Stakes it's Earthquake opening as odds on fav over Peggy Jean. They have posted almost every runner under 10/1 thinking the heavy track may slow the favourite down enough for the others.
1.16 Randwick race 2 numbers 6-4-2-7. A running double to Winona Costin on World Wide for trainer Bede Murray. This horse loves the wet and when they were clicked into gear none of the others could make ground on the bog like track. The race time was over 100m slower than a standard dead track.
12.53 Moonee Valley race 2 numbers 5-2-4-3. Massive form improvement from Rememba Howe stealing the race on the corner over fast finishing Reckless Assassin and Aliyana.
12.45 Randwick race 1 numbers 4-8-3-5. Great ride by Winona Costin gets Foreign Prince home. Trainer David Payne delighted with form of both jockey and horse. Track is making it really hard work.
12 noon Randwick the ATC has started the day on a sombre note. The National Jockeys Trust has unveiled a memorial containing the names of the 870 jockeys who have given their lives after race falls in Australia. Relatives of the fallen jockeys were in attendance and the bronze image of the famed Hughie Cairns stands proudly adjacent to the McGrath Meeting Tree. (see a photo in our gallery)
11.15 Randwick the track is now a heavy 9 over 20mm of rain this morning. Track Manager Lindsay Murphy reports this could go to a heavy 10 as the rain continues.
10.35 Randwick RAIN RAIN RAIN sorry to report but the weather here is WET WET WET. Track is a heavy 8 but this may be downgraded. On the positive side the weather forecast is for clearing conditions over the afternoon. As at 7.30am there were 25 scratchings for Randwick alone.
10.30 Belmont the Punters Mate the best in the west tells us we'll have a good 3 track with a chance of rain later in the day. The Listed race of the day (race 6) is a match race between Rock Magic, Celebrity Miss and Zester
10.25 Morphettville starts racing today on a dead 5 and the Punters Mate has us hanging until race 7 (4.52pm EST) when Held Hostage is expected to do well. Winning Ways www.wwracing.com.au will drip us their help as we keep you up to date with late mail and past the post results.
10.18 Doomben is presenting a good 3 track and the trick here is to look at the earlier races. Winning Ways was on fire there last weekend and I've squeezed a rater from the Punters Mate look at Teronado (r3 n9 at 1.25pm)
10.15 Moonee Valley is headlined by the G2 McEwen with Lankan Rupee a raging favourite and rightly so. Rated the world's best sprinter Winning Ways has him ahead of the field by some distance. The bookies will do the punters no favours and short odds will be offered.
