Eight regular first graders were missing from the Cowboys unit in the away match their last of the season, next week Wellington has the bye.
Trent Forrest, Shannon Ireland, Jake Tolhurst, Daniel Barrow and Steve Matheson all bagged tries in the 26 all draw.
‘’We were badly missing a number of players due to work commitments and injury and centre Chris Jones went out in the first minutes of the match. We were pleased with the effort the boys put in really.’’ Captain coach Justin Toomey White said.
‘’We have the bye before the semi finals will give us time to rest a few niggling injuries’’ he said.
‘’Chris Thompson, Trent Forrest, Richard Peckham, Ken Everson and Shannon Ireland all impressed for us’’ he said.
The reserve grade also down on soldiers went down to Cobar 36-16 while the Under 18’s ended their season with a highly impressive victory 32-8
