The high end accommodation and restaurant centre in Maxwell street will be handed over to new owners in September.
"We have shifted our focus because of our wonderful young family and the Mass Nutrition business I have in Dubbo. But we're staying in Wellington, we have bought a home here," Mr Hughes said.
"We really love Wellington'' Mrs Hughes added.
"It has been an unforgettable time at Hermitage Hill and we have really enjoyed it here. We are passing it on to an equally energetic couple from Sydney which is exciting in itself," she said.
The Red Cross 100-year celebration and an antique auction will end their memorable time in August, the new owners will take over in September.
