Bleak weather results in low numbers and scores

Put it down to the bleak weather and hopefully the last of it for the winter yet 24 hardy souls competed for the four ball aggregate stableford last Saturday. Peter Payne and Paul Hannelly won the day with just 69 points. Gary Cusack and Darren Whiteley had 66 as runners-up. Bill Bright and Peter Bryant with 65 and David Naveau and Robert Ridley Ridley 63 completed the small list of ball competition winners.

Ron Stubberfield Toyota Terrific Tee Shot winners were Brent Eather, David Naveau and Rodney Cunynghame. Gary Cusack and Rod Irwin were the McDonald’s Biggest Whack winners for A and B grades respectively. Luke Brydon and Brent Staggs earned themselves the Brydon Encouragement Award.

Thanks to Rod Pedron and Tim Parker for sponsoring the event.

Handicap changes are: Rod Cunynghame 11 to 12, Malcolm Payne 5 to 6, Brent Staggs 25 to 26 and Darren Whiteley 5 to 6.

Tomorrow’s event is an individual Stableford.

Next week is the September Monthly Medal, round 10 of the F and J Gersbach Trophy with the day sponsored by the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club.
