Great success at Redbacks’ Ladies’ Day

Ladies’ Day was a great success. Thanks to all those who helped out on the day. The U13s fought hard against Dubbo Roos but unfortunately were beaten on the day.

The U15s also had a loss on the day against a better Orange City side. At times it looked like we might have had a chance, with the backline working strongly, however, Orange City were able to shut us down each time.

The U17s unfortunately had a forfeit on the day from Narromine, but had a run of touch football. This was followed by the Old Boys games against Emus. The Old Boys game was followed by a successful 1st grade match.

Ladies’ Day was followed by a split round on the 18th. The U13s and U15s travelled to Dubbo to play Dubbo Reds. Both had excellent wins, which has seen them both make the finals. U13s won 47-5 and the U15s won 43-3. The U17s had their final game at home against Orange City. The boys played gallantly on the day but lost 36-14. We would like to acknowledge the departure of 2 of our 17s boys from the Juniors – Dylan Dorin and Jake Newman. We wish them all the best with their future rugby careers.

However, while the season is almost drawing to a close, we would like to advertise a trial for the month of September for any boys and girls interested in learning about and trying rugby from the U10s down. We will be starting on Friday 31 August from 6.00-700pm.

Just a heads up - presentation night will be on October 20.  Good luck to the U13s and U15s in their finals series  these games will be in Orange starting at 9am.
