Police say they received a number of reports from the public in relation to the suspected supply of prohibited drugs from a house in Pierce Street, Wellington. Police conducted surveillance on the location during which a number of persons were found to be in possession of prohibited drugs after being stopped and searched after leaving the location. Wellington police assisted by the State Protection Group Dog Unit executed a search warrant at the Pierce Street address.
Police say upon executing the warrant a 24 year old female, two 29 year old males and a 27 year old male were detained by police. during a search of the house, persons and vehicles at the location a quantity of suspected Amphetamine (ICE) was detected and seized. A number of items of suspected stolen property were also seized as well as a total of $17000 cash.
A number of the persons detained by police have been charged with a a number of offences including Possession of a Prohibited Drug, Possession of Implements to Administer a Prohibited Drug and Goods in Custody reasonably suspected of being stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained. Enquiries in relation to a number of other items seized are continuing as well as the ongoing Supply of Prohibited Drugs.
