Brett Berryman, who has been a racing man and local club committee member for a long time, got a special
honourary award at Wellington races on Wednesday.
“He wins the best jumper on course award, it’s very colourful and he’s a hard worker for
the club,” race caller Colin Hodges.
“It’s a special award because he also does work on the semaphore board as well. Putting the winners and place-getters up there for the public to
see.”
“I didn’t think there was anything amazing about the jumper but everybody was talking about it,” Mr Berryman said laughing about his honourary achievement.
