Players brave freezing weather for Par 3 Event

Eighteen players braved the minus 3 degrees in the Par 3 Event.

Many thanks to Captain Lorraine and assistant greenkeeper Mitch for giving us nice tee areas to play from which led to Denise Haesler (tweetie bird of the day, must have been those little yellow hair streaks) - how many birdies was it? And Eve Kiss continuing their winning streak - well done girls.

Denise’s net score was 50 and half with Eve’s 53 and half runner-up.

Nearest the Pins:- Marie appears to have finally learnt her ABC’s and colour chart (after lot’s of tutoring from her playing group) took out A grade on the 18th while Jenny’s “bunker shot” was the B grade winner on the 9th.

The raffle kindly donated by Pauline won by Cheryl.

Was nice to see Jocelyn back with us and Sarah enjoying her holiday Cards and Starters for today are:- Marie and Lorraine F.

Wednesday’s event is:- An 18 Hole Stableford played in conjunction with the Western Districts Womens Spoon, Lousick and the Cornish/Hollow mystery draw.

Family Fun Golf Day - Sunday

Calling all Golfers with youngsters don’t forget Sunday’s Family Fun 9 Hole Ambrose Day - teams of four players, two adults and two youngsters but if only three players you can foster a youngster for the day or one maybe found for you.

This Day is organised by Sue Martin and Marie Cornish along with Allan at the club and for a small cost of $30 per team of four gives you 9 holes of golf, a barbecue lunch and some prizes.

Hope to see you for registration about 8.30-8:45am for 9am tee off.

Names need to be into the Club or Marie by tomorrow for catering purposes. Will advise next week if anyone attended Nyngan’s Open Day held yesterday.

Note:- Has everyone organised their partners for the 2012 Mixed Foursome Championships on July 29 and August 5.

The club hopes to see many pairs lining up to make for this fun and exciting or some say frustrating two day fixture. Don’t worry, it is a challenge and very character building when that little white ball ends up in spots that you haven’t had to hit from since last year’s Foursome’s event. See you all today, hopefully the rain won’t wash us out.
