The school holidays are giving everyone a deserved break.
The Dubbo Devils’ under-12 girls’ side has made the state cup final defeating Northbridge FC 1-0. They play Balmain on Sunday July 15 at Valentine Sports Centre. Wellington girls Brianna Trappett, Bridgett Campbell, Shania Sarsfield and Maggie Smith have played an integral role in the team’s success.
Brianna Trappett was selected in the Western Mariners’ team for the Cheryl Salisbury Cup next week.

Under-6s
Leprechauns (A) held the ball well with a lot more passing from Harry O’Donnell (4) and Latrell Bestwick (2). Bulldogs (J) Max Mason (1) and Charlie Poole big efforts.
Tiny Terrors’ (D) Abra Wilson (2) ran hard all game with Charlie and Alice Keirle playing valiantly despite early injuries. Lily Clarke worked hard. Panthers’ (G) Cody Rae (1) Jonathon Taylor (1) and Amelia Vaughan (1) worked well helped by Terrors’ Michaela Frankham.
Blue Tongues (H) a very active game, everyone running hard and fast. Devils’ (C) Nate Bradford (3) Deacon George (1) and Liam Miller (1) outstanding.
Nanima Ninjas (I) and Knights (B), displayed great sportsmanship and had a lot of fun. Ninjas’ Callee Black (6) strong with the ball, Brock Stanley’s support play being invaluable. Thank you to Abra Wilson (2), Isaiah (1) and Mason Hill for helping out the Ninjas. Paige Widdison, Luke Wheatley (1) and Brock Uney performed well with Ash Hand helping out.
Kangaroos’ (K) Tyreese Blacklock (3), Sean Robbins (1) and Malachi Silins-Lobley (3) showed plenty of speed. Lions’ Logan Budd (1) never stopped with Charlotte Fiske and Brooke Haycock trying very hard.
Rockets (F) some fantastic passes from Demi Owens (2) and Charlie Kiss (1) led the way. Sam Burbage, Will Taylor and Abbey Kiss brilliant. Comets’ (E) Preston Donavon (1) and Cameron Whale made plenty of breaks while Lily Behsman and Cody Conn defended well. Welcome to Katie Parker having her first trial match with the Comets.
Under-8s
The Blues’ (A) Preston (1) and Rhys Conn (5) had strong games again, with Anna Everetts a standout. Thank you to Oscar Boland and Max Pascoe for their good sportsmanship helping out the Buffalos (D).
A great team effort from the Buffalos, with Dougie (4) and Jack Phillipson (1), Kimmy Trappett and Josie Clarke excellent soccer. Sam Hughes worked hard in goals.
Red Flames (B) all played fantastic with Ryan Blunden (1), Clay Kennedy (1) and Lily Sheridan (1). Mad Dogs (F) played in good spirits with Jorja Lees (2) Roudey Porch (2) Connor Wilkin (3) all strong in attack.
Scorpions’ (C) Jack Owens (4) with Macy Everingham and Jasmine Burns supporting well. Stripee Strikers’ (E) Ella James (1) and Daniel Keirle were fantastic. Mitchell Whale and Hayley Watts worked hard in goals.
Under-10s
Aussies (D) 3 - Wellington Tigers (A) 2, in a great effort by the Aussies with only four players having a friendly game. Will Eather scored all three goals.
Wello Tigers had a great game with Isaac Woldhuis and Jake Veech running hard all game.
Blue Fire (B) 1 - Argentina (F) 7, with the Blues passing better in the second half Jacqui Ryan (1). Argentina Alex Brien (4), James Glawson (1) Ngara Kennedy (1) and Brad O’Brien (1).
Purple Ferrari (C) 1 - Red Dragons (E) 2. Piper Keirle (1) for Ferraris and Tom Kiss (2) for Dragons.
Under-12s
B Team (B) 11 - Bumble Bees (C) 0 with the B team’s Josie Lees (1) Shania Butler (2) and Will Cannon having solid games. Claude Lewsam (4), Charlie Wilson (2) and Jamie Jerrard strong.
Brianna Trappett great game in goals, with Heidi Parkes showing great improvement. Sophie Everingham and Duygu Arici tried hard.
Purple Flames (D) 0 - Chelsea (A) 5. Flames’ Henry Ponder and Thomas Keirle teamed up well in the backs, while Tatum Roberts and Imogen Guisti also showed some good skills.
Chelsea’s Sam Birbiles (1) Will Edwards (2), James O’Brien (1) and Shania Sarsfield, supported each other well.
