All week Cowboys coach Brian Johnson has stressed defence is where his side needed to improve and in Sunday'ss match against Cyms he got the positive result he wanted expect for the score.

The Reserve Grade had a better result with a convincing 40-10 win while the juniors were beaten in a tight match 26-22. Fullback Alister Beale was missing from yesterday match against Cyms ‘’ Boy we missed him’’ a club official said
Meanwhile Beale and Corey Stanley who apparently had a quiet match against Wellington were rewarded with selections in the in the Country 2nds side to play Victoria at Albury after Group 11 won back to back Country Tier 2 championships defeating Group 20 31-4.
Beale and Stanley ran in two tries apiece for the Group 11 side.
