The winner of the Shop Local promotion involving the Wellington Council and Wellington development incorporated will be announced in Cameron park at 1pm on Friday.
‘’There have been more than 40,000 entries and the winner will drawn out of a barell’’ Wellington economic development director Paul Mills said.
The winner will recieve $5,000 worth of shopping vouchers.
Wellington Development Inc president Jamie Gersbach has thanked the business community for getting involved in the competition.
The event organizers have put together a free barbecue as well for people to witness the draw.
The result will be revealed on the Times website soon after and also on Binjang community radio.
