The second annual Federal Hotel-Wellington Ladies’ Darts Championships were played a couple of Sundays ago at the Federal Hotel.

The ladies and supporters who were in attendance would like to thank the Federal Hotel for a superb luncheon as well.
Results from the first life which was a seeded draw saw Wendy Wilson receive a bye in the first round, Tracie Bowman def Vickie Button 2-0, Tiff Neil def Talia Payne 2-0, Kirsty Wilson def Teena Hill 2-0.
In the first semi-final, Tracie Bowman def Wendy Wilson 2-0 and in the second semi-final, Tiff Neil def Kirsty Wilson 2-0.
The final of the first life saw Tiff Neil taking on Tracie Bowman in a very close match.
This went down to the wire with both ladies having chances to win. In the end Tiff Neil came out on top to record a two legs to one victory guaranteeing herself a shot at the ladies’ championship.
Results of the second life which was a drawn out of a hat saw Vickie Button have the bye, Teena Hill def Talia Payne 2-0, Kirsty Wilson def Wendy Wilson 2-0, Tiff Neil def Tracie Bowman 2-0.
In the first semi-final which was an all Fillies affair, Vickie (the gun) Button def Teena Hill 2-0, in the second semi-final Kirsty Wilson def Tiff Neil 2-1.
The final of the second life saw the Fillies play it out with the winner to take on Tiff Neil in the championship final.
It took all three legs to decide the winner with both players doing there best.
There could only be one winner and that was Vickie Button who defeated Kirsty Wilson 2-1.
The championship final would crown a new champion for this year and it could not have been closer with Tiff Neil and Vickie Button putting on a great show
for the crowd who where there to witness it.
The match went all the way with all three legs needing to be played.
In the end Tiff Neil hit the winning double with cheers and applause to take out the championship by two legs to one.
Congratulations to Tiff Neil for her great win and well done to Vickie Button for making the final. The players would like to thank all the scorers for their help as it made the day so much easier.

Highest peg for the day went to Vickie Button with 40.
