Wellington girls in equal first position

Our girls Wellington Western Youth League team have crept into equal first position after the third round winning their last four games our girls are starting to click together and are excelling in the competition.

They unfortunately miss out on representing western in the country cup over the long weekend, due to the for and against.

With another round to go on June 17, in Cowra, taking out the youth league is in their sights. It is a hard task ahead playing the joint leaders on their home turf, but our girls have made everyone notice them.

Strong players who have already played are still being used in the under 8s and 6s, please follow the rules. Unfortunately I need to reiterate last weeks column to remind managers to use other players from the opposition as everyone needs to develop their game and it is a great opportunity for less dominate players to be involved. We are a club and all players should be given a fair run and given some opportunities to be more involved.
