Top soccer played in youth comp

Wellington junior soccer hosted round two of the under-14’s Western Youth League competition last weekend, which showcased some fantastic soccer.

The Wellington girls continue to shine, with a 1-nil win over Lachlan United and a 4-nil win over Mudgee.

This now sees the girls moving up the ladder into second place and we would like to wish them luck for this weekend at Mudgee.

Another reminder to team managers of the competition to follow the rules on the inside of their team folders.

Players are not to be used from other teams as the club’s vision is to see more participation and ball touches from everyone, in particular the 6’s and 8’s who are in a non-competition program. This is envisaged to develop and encourage less dominate players to have more involvement.

We would like you to consider everyone in the competition as we would like to see everyone enjoying themselves and having fun especially the little ones.
