Wellington travel to meet a competitive Nyngan on Sunday
The Cowboys’ committee is urging its players to turn out for the Group 11 rugby league match at Nyngan on Sunday.
“We don’t want a repeat of the Forbes match where we were undermanned,” Cowboys’ publicity officer Ray Fabar said.
“Nyngan will take us up the middle in the forwards and they have some big men in the backs, so this will be a real test. They have been playing well,” he said.
Mr Fabar said Nyngan fell to Dubbo Macquarie but stayed within striking distance and were well-prepared to niggle the Cowboys.
The club is happy, very happy with the support of locals who turned out in numbers last week and the club is going ok he said.
“The grand hotel joker draw on a Friday night is helping us fund things,” he added.
The side remains much the same as last week with Alister Beale returning to full-back.
