The grand finals of the Rod Hampstead Electrical Darts Challenge were played last Monday. Both the shield and the cup went to the Wellington Hotel.
Team nominations for the winter competition must be in by May 27. There are currently seven teams nominated.
The mixed championships will be held on May 27 at the Federal Hotel. The matches will start at 12pm, so get your partner ready.

Shield Grand Final:
Wellington Hotel Wombats defeated the Federal Hotel News 4-0.
Warren and Danny defeated Alf and Daryl 2-0, Nathan and Terry defeated Scott and Nikkie 2-1. Danny defeated Scott 2-0, and Warren defeated Daryl 2-1.
Although the score was 4-0 it was still a close game with all games coming down to whoever hit their doubles first. Warren hit an awesome checkout of 18, 16, double 16.
Cup Final:
Wellington Hotel South’s defeated Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Fillies 4-3.
Mal and Margie lost to Vicki and Dave 1-2, Pat and Tracie lost to Kirsty and Teena 1-2. Mal defeated Vicki 2-0, Tracie lost to Dave 0-2, Margie defeated Kirsty 2-1, and Pat defeated Wendy 2-0. This left it to the teams’ game to decide who would be the cup holders. The Wellington Hotel South’s won to take the crown.

With there being a couple of week’s until the next competition starts, I will be running a social darts competition at the Federal Hotel every Monday Night starting on May 21.
There will be a $5 entry fee and the winner will take the pot. Singles or doubles will be decided on the night by how many show up.
