Do you remember the good old days where we used to be able to do our own cracker night?
Well its back.
Workcover NSW is now offering “single occasion permits” to anyone applying to do a fireworks
display on behalf of a
social group or organisation.
These groups include churches, community groups, sporting clubs, hunting clubs, farmers and their social networks, RSL’s, Hotels and many other organisations.
Steve Lee from Inland Fireworks in Parkes NSW is now offering fireworks safety training and will assist customers with
the Workcover permit forms.
There are certain Workcover requirements that must be met but the application form can be filled out in around 20
minutes Mr Lee said, it
can then be faxed or emailed to workcover and will be back to you within 10 days.
The Queen’s birthday weekend falls on June 11, so you have plenty of time to apply for a permit and host your own traditional cracker night just like
you did when you were a kid.
Single occasion permits are available all year round so keep it in mind for your next big event.
Mr Lee said this permit is not really designed for displays within the town limits, but anyone with access and permission to a reasonable sized block of land or farm is entitled to apply for the permit.
Display kits start at $300 which is designed for smaller shows and then moves to your choice of $600, $990 and $1200 packages for
the more impressive displays.
Inland fireworks also have a large range of individual stock to choose from so you can create your own personalised display if you feel confident.
Mr Lee will be in your town to give personal one-on-one training sessions this week and will assist in filling out the forms.
For bookings and more info call 041 888 4441 or go to www.parkespaintball .com.au and press the fireworks link.
The training course cost $100 but for packages
$600 and over, the course is free.
