Kennard to host hard clash

Wellington line up against Cyms this weekend at Kennard Park and again it is expected to be full of fireworks.

Wellington fullback Ali Beale will face of against Corey Stanley and Nathan Thompson against his brother Chris Thompson.

“Both Cyms players have been poached from Wellington in the last couple of years,” spokesperson for the Cowboys Ray Fabar said.

“We can look forward to a fiery contest as the team will be out to prove that we are the better side.”

“The return of Blaine Stanley, an ex NRL halfback, will give us a lot of go forward around the ruck and keep the Cyms defence wondering.”

Sunday juniors play at 11.30am with the reserve grade to kick off at 12.45pm.

“It’s a big day for us this week,” Fabar said.

For the juniors Lewis Stanley and Brent Naden are returning to Wellington after playing in the country finals.

On Saturday also Luke Healy and Jayden Harvey are new players to the Wellington side. Harvey stamped himself as an up and coming forward of the future with a gutsy performance coming off the bench last week in Cobar.

Along with Stanley Naden and Healy, he is looking at a bright future in rugby league.

The squad for Sunday is: Ali Beale, Aiden Ryan, Chris Ahsee, Chris Daley, Ed Daley, Kyle West, Kaine Ashby, trent Forrest, Blaine Stanley, Rian Humphries, Nathan Thompson, Shawn Todhunter, Troy Osbourne, Brad Dwyer, Paul Black, Ben McGregor and Michael Gibson.
