Many thanks to Barry and Naomi for sponsoring the Wellington division of the Keno Mixed 4 Ball, Best Ball Competition that was played on Sunday April 15. Twelve teams participated and all enjoyed the day.

The Gollan duo of Cheryl and Normie Royal were the winners with 44pts, followed by the now Wellington residents Marg and George Hollow 41pts, with Kathy Martin and greenkeeper son Damien Bell also on 41pts. These three pairings will be Wellington’s representatives at the Western Districts Day with the date to be advised, we wish them all the best for this next section.

The following combinations also made up the field. Janelle Frappell and Barry J, Bear and Marie Cornish, Michelle and Brent Eather, Gayle and Lance Noakes, Denise Haesler and Clinton Ridley, Alison and Rod Irwin, Jan Payne and Wok Sheridan, Racheal Krarup and Cricket Ryan, Pauline Potts and Kevin Whale.

Family fun golf day, Sunday April 22.

Due to holidays etc there were only four teams participating but they were different family groups from the January day we held. The winning group was the McCarthy team of Ben, Jaynia, Lewis and Thomas (riding along also was Jake and Skye).

Barton and the Generation Barton Teams along with the Iron Barks Mixture, who would like to thank Sam and Jenny Barton for joining them.

Please mark on your calenders Sunday July 1 for the third family day. Hopefully we will have more family groups available.

A big thank you to Sue, Marie and Allan for getting behind the family day initiative, especially after the Jack Newton coaching days. Just ring Allan (at the club) any time and he will arrange for you to have a few holes to keep practising what you have learnt.
