Wombats go through to grand final

The semi-finals of the Rod Hampstead Electrical Darts Challenge Summer Competition were played last Monday night. There are six teams left in the competition.

The Wellington Hotel Wombats defeated the Grand Hotel Legends 4-1.

Danny and Warren defeated Richard and Ken 2-1, David and Nathan lost to Rod and Steve 0-2. Warren defeated Steve 2-0, Danny defeated Richard 2-0 and Nathan defeated Ken 2-1.

The last singles and teams games were not played as they were not needed to decide the winner.

This means that the Wellington Hotel Wombats move on to play in the grand final next Monday and the Grand Hotel Legends play the winner of the next game.

The Federal Hotel News defeated The Wellington Hotel 4-2.

Alf and Daryl defeated Sam and Cindy 2-1, Blue and Zak lost to Brett and Mick 0-2.

Blue defeated Talia 2-1, Alf defeated Brett 2-0, Zak lost to Mick 1-2, and Daryl defeated Sam 2-1 to seal the victory for the Federal Hotel News to move on to this week’s final against the Grand Hotel Legends.

This also meant that The Wellington Hotel were eliminated from the finals.

The Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club Fillies lost to The Wellington Hotel Souths 3-4.

Dave and Vickie defeated Mal and Margie 2-1, Teena and Wendy lost to Tracey and Pat 0-2. Vickie lost to Margie 0-2, Dave lost to Tracie 1-2, Teena defeated Pat 2-1, and Wendy defeated Mal 2-1.

Leaving it down to the teams’ game to decide the winner with The Wellington Hotel Souths winning and moving on to next week’s cup final.

The Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club will take on the Federal Hotel Extras in this week’s final after the Federal Hotel Extras won by forfeit by the Central Hotel Crew.
