Wellington has produced many Little Athletic champions throughout the decades and again on Monday night at the Wellington Soldiers Club their season performances were celebrated.
“They all gave their best and we, as parents, love the way they enjoy the sport and it’s a pleasure for us to be part of their success,’’ Brian Giddings one of the organisers of the presentation night said.
Rahl Jahn, who has performed at Olympic youth level, attended the night.
Rahl won gold medals in shot putt and discus at the Youth Olympics for Germany but a broken ankle prevented her from qualifying for London.
