The White crane institute is very excited.
Master Lee Kong has agreed to accept the position of honorary president of the White Crane Research Institute Inc and the Wu He Dao Zhan Pai White Crane Gongfu style.
Master Lee Kong heads up the Zhang Zhou Jie Yuan Tang Jian Pai Bai He Quan in Hong Kong, China and is a very famous, world-renowned White Crane Gongfu Master and author. He recently sent the association’s head instructor Ron Goninan a number of his latest book on White Crane as well as several DVD’s as a gift towards the Master and his school.
Chinese Lion
The White Crane Research Institute Inc has taken delivery of a traditional Chinese Lion Dance Set (Head, Tail, pants and shoes) from Beijing China.
Emily and Grace Jacobson have shown off the White Crane Gongfu Schools brand new Traditional Lion Costume direct from Beijing China. The local school purchased the Lion so that they could contribute to the local community doing the Lion Dance at future festivals and community functions. The school’s students will now start to learn the Lion Dance to perform at future special events and community Functions.
Future activities
The institute also recently purchased a Traditional Chinese Southern Tiger Fork Weapon (very hard to get) to teach as part of the school’s Chinese weapons classes. Sydney White Crane Instructor Jon Dupre will be delivering a very special rare 150-year-old Chinese Straight Sword as a personal gift to the school.
Future activities include a workshop on teaching the Martial Arts to others, a class swap with the Dubbo Kaishin Taekwondo School next month, purchase of sand striking bags and re-vamp of the Associations Web Site and White Crane Gongfu written training syllabus guide.
The school also recently launched its own Private Youtube site where local, national and international members can view the White Crane forms, weapons forms and fighting applications as taught within the local Wellington headquarters school. This has proven to be a great success!
The Wellington White Crane Gongfu School now has Member schools in Sydney, Melbourne, Broken Hill and internationally in America, Singapore, Mexico, England, Sweden and France.
