There are 3300 deaths from prostate cancer a year in Australia and every year 20,000 Australians find out they have got prostate cancer.
Local pharmacist Stephen Whittaker spoke about hypertension or high blood pressure and said that many people would find themselves on blood pressure medication in their lifetime.
He said that a normal rating is less than 120/80mmHg, Pre Hyper is 120/80mmHg to 139/89mmhg while hypertension is 140/90 or more. Dubbo Men’s Shed member Phillip Knight spoke about his years in the police force and how being able to talk to people in the shed helped him to cope with the many traumatic incidents he had attended over the years.
