Alison Irwin certainly enjoyed her round this week having a fine 37pts to be our winner with Denise Haesler runner-up on 34pts.
Denise and Heather Pieper took the “Nearest the Pin” honours whilst PKP would have enjoyed her dinner with a nice bottle of white from the raffle, many thanks to the mystery donor.
Margie Grimmond and Ann Graham contested nine holes with the spoils even this week.
We welcome back Gae after her great holiday trekking around Australia with hubby, look forward to the pictures when you sit down and sort them all out.
Wednesday
Ladies dont forget back to 9.30am start with round one of the foursomes commencing. If you havent got a partner as yet just check with vice-captain Kathy. Marie has drawn starters duty.
Tournaments
Narromine - Wednesday August 28
As previously mentioned five players (Jean Frap, Cheryl Royal, Ruth Lay, Marg Hollow and Gale Noakes) ventured out for a day on the sand greens along with another 69 players, 74 players what a great roll-up.
Jean had an excellent day finishing with a nett 62. Congratulations but watch out the handicapper will have a field day.
The others advised they had a great day out.
Veterans - Monday August 26
Eighty-eight Western District players enjoyed our course and the hospitality supplied by Alan at the bar and Min’s Crew (Jean Frap, Denise and Sue) in the kitchen. Thanks for helping out and making for a great day for our visitors.
Western Districts 4Ball v Par Finals - Friday 23rd
Pauline Potts (PKP) and Marie ventured off to experience one of Orange’s excellent winter days representing the club.
Beanies, scarvess, wet weather gear, gloves (not always golf - snow ones appeared too) and winter long johns were the clothing of the day.
Lucky it was the final with a chance of winning a trip to the State finals at Bon Ville as I am sure many would have pulled out.
Condobolin, Grenfell and Bathurst finished equal with with plus 4 and after countbacks were conducted Condobolin and Grenfell players have the honour of being the Western Districts representatives.

Will be hosting their Tournament on Thursday September 5 if anyone is interested in attending
GOSH Group
Welcome home to the GOSH men’s group.
I am sure there were many stories told and will be retold (though what happens on tour stays on tour), hope you all had an enjoyable break.
Won’t be long and it will be payback for a couple of the menfolk when the women venture south.
See everyone on Wednesday ready for some laughs and interesting shot positionings in the foursomes.
