Ryan was suspended for striking in last week’s final premiership round match against Narromine.
“Mad Dog (Aidan) will be a big loss because he really is what the Cowboys are about. But we have Paul Black back after an injury and there is real confidence in the camp,’’ captain-coach Justin Toomey White said.
Trent Forrest will take over the hooking role while Trent Osborne will become an impact player. Wellington’s recent patchy form doesn’t count well for them, Toomey White said.
“We haven’t been in the right frame of mind but the finals are a different matter and the boys are up for it. Our defence with 12 men last week was pretty good. It was a wake-up call against Narromine,’’ he said.
“We are revving up the fans to get to Kennard early to watch the reserve grade at midday. It should be a huge day,’’ he said.
