Last Saturday’s event was a 4BBB Stableford with Luke Brydon and Ben McCarthy kindly donating the prize.
This Saturday’s events are a 4 Ball Aggregate Stableford as well as the final of the Cornish Trophy with the combatants being Robert Baker and Gary Holding taking on Lewis Payne and Clint Ridley.
This match will be a close affair that may come down to the last hole to find the eventual winner.
This week Norm Royal and Neil Hollow have kindly donated the prize.
This Sunday sees the playing of the D and J Rural Supplies Mixed Foursome Championships to be played over 27 holes in A and B Grades.
To play in B Grade the male player must have a handicap of 13 and over and the lady player must have a handicap of 27 and over.
A new award has come about which will be called the Von Zipper best dressed golfer of the week award and the inaugural winner was Jim Armstrong who was very colourful.

Winners of last Saturday’s 4BBB Stableford were David East and Wayne Lang who combined brilliantly to post a score of 44pts.
Runners-up and only just were Bernard Smith and Lance Noakes who put together a score of 43pts.
Ball competition winners were David East and Wayne Lang 44pts, Bernard Smith and Lance Noakes 43pts, Ben McCarthy and Ray Fabar 42pts, Josh Bullock and Steven McCarroll 42pts, Bob Ridley and Jake Tolhurst 41pts, Malcolm Payne and Kevin Athanasiou 41pts.
The Ron Stubberfield Toyota Terrific Tee Shot on the third Wayne Lang, on the eighth David East, on the 14th Sam Brennan, on the 16th Malcolm Payne.
McCarthy-Staggs Tiling nearest the pin in two shots on the seventh hole was taken out by David Naveau.
McDonalds Biggest Whack was won by nobody in A Grade and in B Grade it was taken out by Rodney (the Gorilla) Cunynghame.
The Bolo’s Excavations Bradman Award went to Anthony Cowan and Ron Cowan.
It was good to see Anthony bring his brother down to his level.
They finished with a score so bad it could not be recorded.
