Committee for new year elected at meeting

19 Feb, 2010 09:03 AM
On a Tuesday for the annual general meeting we did meet, to see who would fill the vacated president’s seat.

Snow Brien was unanimously elected for his poise and charm, he must think rugby union is pretty special for him to leave the farm.

Brian Lowe and Mus McCarroll are sharing the vice position and Anne Styles was accepted secretary with her sunny disposition,

The treasurer was next with Alison Evison taking it on, Marg Broome was voted registrar who we didn’t have to con.

Her husband Denny is co-ordinating the wallas once more, canteen managers Noella Baker and Monica Forgione will handle well their chore.

Lastly of all Simone McManus will tackle publicity and that rounds out 2010’s competent committee.

The first registration day for junior rugby union will be held on Thursday February 25 from 5pm until 6pm.

Anyone wishing to trial for the CWRU representative teams must register on that day or they will not be eligible to trial.

The other important business to attend to is the application for coaches for the 2010 season.

Coaches are being sought for all grades and applications are to be put in writing addressed to Anne Styles at PO Box 385 Wellington NSW 2820 by February 23.

Anyone who is interested in coaching or just helping out is asked to attend a smart rugby course. If sufficient numbers allow we would be able to run the course here in town.

If you would like to find out more about helping your kids to play the great game of rugby please put your hand up to do the course.
